- This Week in eCommerce Data

Welcome to the twenty-eighth Week in eCommerce Data, where Friday begins with a dose of ecommerce data. In this week’s roundup, we focus on the advancement of mobile ecommerce, Salesforce’s record purchase of Slack. Plus other ecom news elsewhere!
Weekly insight
We are in the middle of the holiday season and after looking at the numbers for the Thanksgiving week, we could see that the pandemic definitely affected people’s ability and desire to shop this season. We can also see, however, that businesses were not affected uniformly, so our best advice here is to keep looking at opportunities to work in a new way for at least another year until the vaccine arrives.
Another important topic this week was the acquisition of Slack by Salesforce, this completes Salesforce’s quest for a 360 view of the customer by allowing them to integrate Slack with their products, shortening the waiting time for people to use the products – definitely a big win for Salesforce.
