Putting the spotlight on our workforce, The Women Powering ArganoUV showcases the professional and personal pathways of women at ArganoUV. We uncover daily motivations and personal passions, first company impressions and important career milestones. Today, we meet Gabriela Soto, Quality Assurance Analyst.
How did you face your biggest professional challenge?
I have had professional challenges inside and outside the company, but the best way is always preparing myself with what is necessary and visualizing that I am going to achieve it.
What do you enjoy doing outside work? Do you have any hobbies?
I like to ride my bike and go for walks with my dog – although for reasons of time and availability I have not done it lately (perhaps when my baby Leo has a tricycle we will return to the park LOL)
Have you achieved anything related to your hobbies?
Of course! To ride long distances on my bike is a big achievement!
What are your daily motivations?
My family is definitely my biggest motivation right now, but so is meeting my long-term and short-term goals.
How would you define success?
For me, success is the result of working to achieve and fulfill what makes you happy.
What place does work occupy in your daily life?
It occupies a very important place as I spend a significant part of the day at work. I have met some very smart and hardworking people here at ArganoUV and I have learned a lot from them.
What key points do you consider a good leader should have?
I think a good leader should:
- Have a clear vision of what they want to achieve.
- Have patience in adverse situations.
- Know how to distribute tasks among the team, identifying the strengths of its members.
- Have good communication with team members.
- Be committed to the team to complete the tasks that need to be completed.
Do you prefer office or home office?
Definitely home office – although it is not bad to go to the office from time to time to break the routine.
What is a highlight of ArganoUV as a company?
That it is a company that takes care of its workers, which I like very much. And its HR team is very accessible.
