Here at ArganoUV we know that taking care of our customers is essential, yet we know that paying attention to the people of ArganoUV is equally important. It plays a core part of our company culture as it demonstrates the values that we hold to be important when it comes to delivering the best quality work.
Behind every laptop screen there is a human being frantically typing, reading, researching, spending long nights and weekends working for the success of a project and upholding the reputation of the company.
The success of ArganoUV is anchored to the number of teams that we have all around the world – spread out across three continents and united by close and constant digital collaboration. It’s a part of ArganoUV that we’re deeply proud of and one that deserves rewarding.
This was put to the test recently regarding a 2,000-mile problem.
Some weeks ago one of our teams worked really hard on a complex project with a tight deadline, which required them to work overtime plus during weekends in order to deliver. We get huge satisfaction in making our team members feel valued and compensated for going that extra mile.
That’s why we decided to give the team a little surprise.
Part of this team was located in Argentina and another part in Mexico – except for one person living and working from a small town in Guatemala.
Our HR team sent to the Argentinian and Mexican teams a beautiful box stuffed with presents.
The boxes arrived. No problem.
However, the logistics for our Guatemalan gentleman, Marco, were not that simple. And so our project managers and directors began looking at ways to make this surprise happen… despite the many obstacles in the way.
Then suddenly, one of our directors remembered that Victor, one of our senior developers living in Honduras, actually has family in Guatemala, and decided to ask him for help.
He contacted a few recommended stores, but had no luck because they were closed or weren’t able to deliver to Marco’s house.
Frustrated with the lack of progress, Victor expressed the annoyance with his family, since Marco had worked so hard yet wouldn’t be able to receive a gift from ArganoUV. That’s when Victor’s mom stepped in.
She offered to put together a nice basket full of food goodies for Marco. But the best part of the entire solution was that the basket wasn’t delivered to him through any shipping company… she took the basket to Marco’s herself!
