Just a handful of days ago Salesforce announced a whole new platform that bundles together the Salesforce superpowers of Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
Welcome to the Salesforce skyline, Digital 360.
With key components and freshly baked innovations built onto the Salesforce 360 platform, brands and retailers will be well positioned to transform engagement and change gears (metaphor works only for manuel-minded retailers) to accelerate growth in an economic environment dominated by digital-only spaces
Like it’s name strongy hints at, Digital 360 encompases the whole partner ecosystem as well as new terrain built on the learning resources platform Trailhead.
So what’s new? Well, Digital 360 features
- Customer 360 Audiences, which is a customer data management platform powered for personalization, where marketers can collect and compartmentalize rich customer data. Customer 360 Audiences is available as from this month.
- Commerce Cloud Payments, a fresh out-of-the-box payment solution built into SFCC and powered by Stripe. We actually covered the Salesforce-Stripe partnership in a separate article, and is expected to be available later on in the year.
- Experience Cloud, helping brands and retailers to create sites, portals, apps – essentially build any digital touchpoint – in order to engage with customers. And to set them up fast.
“With Digital 360, we’re delivering the full power of Salesforce tailored to digital leaders,” said Adam Blitzer – who surely has the honor of holding one of the longest job titles at Salesforce – the Executive Vice President & General Manager of Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, and Community Cloud. These include, “products, ecosystem, learning and expert services,” added Adam, “which enables them to move with the speed, agility, and scale they need to operate at Black Friday levels every single day.”
And speaking from the Stripe side, Mike Clayville, CRO, had this to say: “The surge in digital commerce is creating an imperative for all companies to adapt to a changed economy. We’re excited to team up with Salesforce to make it easier for any business – from fast-growing brands to the largest global enterprises – to create new kinds of commerce experiences, reach new customers, and optimize digital channels.”
