We spotted earlier in the year the increasing rise of livestream ecommerce, which has gained traction due to the massive role that social media plays in our day-to-day lives, from our interactions with our friends to how and where we shop.
With that in mind, it makes sense that the live video streaming provider Bambuser – anchored to the archipelago city of Stockholm – has recently announced that it has built a new integration for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, called Live Stream E-Commerce Experiences.
SF Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) is a world leader in providing personalized digital experiences across the entire commerce landscape – on laptop, mobile and in-store, and on social media platforms.
So what does Bambuser bring to the towering ecommerce platform of choice for so many of the leading brands and retailers across all categories?
Well, Bambuser gets brands to interact with their customers directly thanks to live and interactive shopping experiences that adds an immersive element to the digital retail space. And they’re also trusted by a number of major brands that are now better able to connect with their customers in new and creative ways.
The average viewer of a Bambuser-hosted livestream is astonishingly 11 minutes. (Given the modern human’s shorter and shorter attention span, a double-digit number is quite captivating). And among the Bambuser viewers, 12% of them throw – at least – one product in their shopping cart. Although keep in mind these figures are averages across the whole livestream environment. When it comes to the beloved beauty and cosmetics ecommerce, it’s not 12% of viewers that put a product in their cart, it’s 36%.
So what does Bambuser have to say about this?

A final intriguing strand of detail about Bambuser: one of its more active users is the international media agency the Associated Press, whose thousands of reporters around the world are geared with the Bambuser app to video and broadcast live video. In fact, Bambuser users even get the option to share their video with the media agency, for it to be used as user-generated content.
