Biggest Trends in Nearshoring

Biggest Trends in Nearshoring

The strongest influence over the global economy over the last few years has undoubtedly been the pandemic, with interest in nearshore services booming.

Many businesses already rely on outsourced services to handle their IT and tech needs such as software development.

Nearshore companies and those that provide nearshore services bring reliable teams of technical expertise to expand companies’ capabilities for specific periods of time.

With this in mind, here’s a look at some of the tech trends in nearshore services this year.

Automation

Although automation has been around for some time now, it is furiously evolving and being incorporated into emerging technologies. Nearshore companies are always pursuing different pathways to reduce manual tasks by accelerating the delivery IT infrastructure. Biggest Trends in Nearshoring

With automation, organizations get multiple benefits through outsourcing certain services to nearshore firms. Without too much customization, companies can implement ready-made business solutions and/or leverage their latest automation technologies. Essentially, the aim is to eliminate blockages in business operations by streamlining and optimizing the efficiency of infrastructure.

5G tech

When it was first rolled out, the criticism of 5G was that it was very limited in availability. But that’s now not the case. Nearshore companies provide 5G technology and with that comes high speed, high capacity, high bandwidth, and low latency and tower congestion.

This technology equals higher efficiencies in management, troubleshooting, deployment, and correspondence. The adoption of 5G technology is one of the highest priorities among nearshore companies operating out of Latin America.

In the next couple of years, 5G is expected to be fully adopted in the region.

Cloud computing

It is incredibly time-consuming to manage your own servers. The systems and hardware require regular evaluation in order to prevent problems. Yet unforeseen factors always have a say. And that is why more and more businesses are moving towards cloud computing.

As a result, developers are continuing to design apps without server management. Serverless computing means using cloud-native applications, storage, and systems – all without a physical server. Biggest Trends in Nearshoring

The digitalization of business servers lets teams access information from anywhere at any time. It also provides capabilities for scalability and can get rid of maintenance costs. And that’s why cloud computing is the ideal fit for nearshore services.

Container tech

Container software includes platforms like Apache, Docker, Mesos, and Kubernetes. And they are often incorporated into the operations of cloud computing providers.

Working with nearshore providers, by their nature, demand container technology in order to deliver custom multiplatform solutions across multiple environments.

This type of tech allows experts to package off applications, databases, processes as well as other resources into containers. By doing this, it essentially eliminates barriers present in the machine environment, which allows you to implement solutions across different servers. And nearshore companies tend to manage these containers.

Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)

VDIs are another type of technology that fits nicely with nearshore operations. Virtual desktop infrastructure comes with plenty of advantages, including simplified IT management, more control, flexibility, cost saving, and support for remote workers.

This year, we are seeing an increase in the use of VDIs as more and more workers are working from home and other non-office-based locations. Although it’s not new technology, it is gaining traction among businesses that are looking for nearshore services.

Working with a nearshore software development company is capable of delivering a custom solution for your demands. It’s important to assess all emerging technologies to invest in profitable opportunities with calculable ROI.
