And We’re Live in 3..2..1… Welcome to the UV Video Podcast

As we go about our daily work, each of us arrives at the office (via a car ride along the highway or a sleepy stumble across the living room) with notions of the work we do and the ways in which they’re tackled — from our daily tasks towards our long-term goals.

And We’re Live in 3..2..1… Welcome to the UV Video PodcastWe continue the day’s work influenced by our own work ethic, cultivating some habits and avoiding others. Developer A knuckles down and codes in complete silence; Developer B can only perform at a high level while blasting some punk. Marketer C must list every single detail of each task before beginning the day’s work; while Marketer D prefers to complete the smaller tasks before biting into the more time-consuming ones.

These are, of course, the more trivial nuances to everyday work practices — or are they in fact core to a more efficient work ethic? The focus here is that by understanding how others work; encouraging particular habits while minimizing others; and by discussing ideas and how they relate to business, we let eclectic ideas battle with each other for the purpose of building stronger teams, and a stronger business.

And so in this spirit of philosophizing business and oxygenizing ideas, here at United Virtualities, we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to mold this into a video podcast, which we call Recursive Business, hosted by Morgan Friedman, United Virtualities’ Director of Marketing.

And We’re Live in 3..2..1… Welcome to the UV Video Podcast“Recursion” is a software term that is basically when software calls itself to run so the program runs within the program. The Recursive Business podcast takes this definition and applies it to the world of tech business overall — i.e. the analysis begins at the high level and repeats on the smaller level… and then repeats again and again.

And we have already launched our first episode in the series, titled Laziness: Virtue or Vice?, featuring Oscar Gonzalez, United Virtualities’ Director of Commerce & Enterprise, which explores the worthiness of the term in its relation to business, and whether it is worth cultivating or eradicating.

So head over to YouTube, subscribe to The UV Video Podcast: Recursive Business, and take part in the unfolding discussion.
