As the largest full-service ad management company in the country, Mediavine represents around 8,400 publisher partners, as well as owning its own properties that attract 130 million unique monthly visitors.
Last week, the Google Certified Publishing Partner (GCPP) Awards took place. And Mediavine took home The Innovation Award for its new technology that provides solutions to Core Web Vitals requirements.
The percentage of publishers that are using Mediavine’s ad technology and passing Core Web Vitals scores is a strong 80%.
Perhaps one of Mediavine’s most well-known new tech is Trellis, which is a WordPress theme framework that was designed to meet the standards of Google’s page experience while at the same time running display and video adverts.
In the Core Web Vitals, Trellis is the fastest, given that 80% of its users are passing all three Core Web Vitals scores – Largest Contentful Paint, First Input Delay, and Cumulative Layout Shift.
Regardless of who their monetization partners are, publishers are able to fine-tune their ad revenue by providing fast user experiences.
“When Google unveiled its Page Experience algorithm shift and publicly defined its page speed metrics for the first time,” said Eric Hochberger, CEO of Mediavine, “we seized the opportunity to build technology for all publishers that adhere to the new standards.”
Going one step further, Mediavine built ad optimization into the dashboards of more than 8,400 publishers tied to Core Web Vitals performance.
It means features that mitigate Cumulative Layout Shift problems that are associated with lazy loading ads that don’t sacrifice page speed or even WordPress site layout.
“It is an honor for Google to recognize Mediavine’s comprehensive Core Web Vitals solution,” added Eric, “which forms the crux of the dynamic programmatic puzzle.”
Ever since 2017, Mediavine has been a Google Certified Publishing Partner and already has a collection of awards in its trophy cabinet – such as the Customer Satisfaction Award of 2019, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Driver Award of 2020.
